About the curators

The Harris Museum & Art Gallery's Stories of the World project started in spring 2010. Groups from Preston College, Blackburn College, Beneast Training Centre and the University of Central Lancashire have been invovled, along with lots of individual young people from across Lancashire.

There have been monthly meetings, regular workshops and trips out and about to help develop the exhibition and website. A highlight was organising the Global Threads fashion shoot in September 2010. The co-curators also catalogued and photographed all 700 fabrics in The Textile Manufactures of India and helped develop this website.
